Our Dental Technology in the Canning Vale Area

Our State of the Art Technology

X-ray, one of our dental technology applications

CEREC AC

(CERamic REConstruction) is the latest model of chairside imaging CAD/CAM technology. It allows our clnicians to produce high quality aesthetic porcelain restorations in a single visit, as opposed to 2 trips, as with the traditional impression method. The prepared tooth is powdered and photographed, and reconstructed as a 3D digital model by the CEREC Biogeneric software, upon which the restoration is then designed. The restoration is then milled out of a solid ceramic block, and when completed, the restoration is then bonded to the tooth using a strong resin based cement.

ZOOM ADVANCED POWER

Zoom AP (Advanced Power) Professional in-office whitening system Zoom AP provides safe, longer lasting Teeth Whitening in just under 2 hours. The light and gel work together to break up the stains and discolourations on the teeth. During this time you can sit back, relax and watch TV. SOFT TISSUE DIODE LASER

This is Dentistry’s most user friendly soft tissue laser to date. It allows for pain free, safe and precise recontouring and sculpting of the soft tissue (gums) that support the teeth, thus improving one’s smile line. The benefits of laser treatment include minimal bleeding and swelling, leading to a faster healing time with minimal post-operative discomfort to our patients. Other common uses include laser assisted periodontal therapy, gingivectomies, frenectomies and much more.

DIGITAL XRAYS & OPG

Dental radiology is moving away from traditional film technology to modern Digital technology, which is based on electronic sensors and computers. It enables our clinicians to attain high quality x-rays efficiently (images come up almost instantly), with minimal radiation exposure to our patients. This reduces our patient’s exposure to radiation significantly. An OPG x-ray can help to provide an initial assessment of all the patient’s teeth, any impacted wisdom teeth, any periodontal bone loss and also the possible placement sites for dental implants.

SOPRO INTRAORAL CAMERAS

Using the latest component parts with LED lights, our intra oral cameras provide patients with crisp, clear high resolution photos of their teeth and gums, with good colour contrast. It enables patients to see the status of their teeth as we see it, and is utilised to improve overall diagnosis and treatment planning.

J5 TENS MYOMONITOR

Used to help relax the muscles supporting the jaws in people with jaw joint problems, and establish a physiologic occlusion. It can relieve symptoms associated with muscle spasm, decrease TMD pain and increase local blood circulation. This can then lead to an increase range of movement of your lower jaw.
